Gigglepin @ ORA British Dirt 2010

The 1st annual ORA British DirtÂ was held over theÂ weekend of July 31st & 1st August Nr Hailsham in Sussex.

Team Gigglepin 4×4 along with 7 other crews entered the eventÂ not knowing exactly what they were in for! The British Dirt event is a whole new style of event designed for winch challengeÂ prepared vehicles to compete side by side on a timed spectator friendly special stage. Despite its low entry, theÂ 1st ORA British dirt was a roaring success and will no doubt grow! We look forward to the next helping of British Dirt!!!!

Team Gigglepin 4×4 consisting of Jim Marsden & Mark Birch driving a Modified Defender 90 truck cab won the event at the end of the 2 days! A full event report will soon be available!

LRO Billing Show 2010 Team Gigglepin

Another year gone & another Billing show out the way!! Time to plan the next I suppose, but before then a little reflection on 2010.
As with last year, Team Gigglepin arrived on Thursday afternoon raring to go. This year we decided to ustilise more staff to increase our presence & allow each individual to enjoy the show more. Our 4 display vehicles were all used for photo shoots and demonstrations over the weekend, with Paul & Jim running the winching Demo’s in the arena we were definatly part of the action all weekend!! Another hi-light was Team Gigglepin winning the Mud Machines challenge by over 31 seconds!! More pictures are availabe in our Gallery.
We would like to thank all of you who took time to come to the Gigglepin stand and talk to us, but also a huge thank you to everyone involved with running & support the Gigglepin stand!! Next show for us will be the LRO show @ Peterborough over the 10th & 11th September…. We look forward to seeing you there!

This is the latest in a great line of trucks that Gigglepin 4×4 have prepared for our great customers. This Defender has been to our workshops a number of times, but this time round was without doubt the biggest so far.

The brief was very simple. “Make it strong”. So, a pair of Spider Trax axles, 4 King 2.5″ performance race coil overs, 4 King 2″ Hydrolic bump stops, full hyrdo steer & a set of 38.5″ Interco Boggers complete with Mach 5 Double beedlock rims. Other jobs to help make this vehicle more competitive such as moving the radiator into the rear, moving the winch back to improve approch angle, North Off Road tubular jointed front radius arms & a whole lot of re-wiring. This truck’s first event is the Transilvania Adventure trophy in Romania, and we wish the crew all the very best!! To view more pictures of the truck, check out our gallery.

Mission 4×4 Round 3 Gigglepin staff team 2nd overall

This past weekend saw the 3rd Round of Mission 4×4’s 7 round challenge series held nr Sudbury in Suffolk.
