    Gearworks Low Pinion thirdmembers. Our attention to detail, using only the highest quality components and thorough testing has made for a winning combination.  

    Each Low Pinion Big Bearing (3.812) thirdmember is specially set up for your application. Whether it’s a front or rear application we have you covered. With carrier bores in 3.812″, Fitted with  35 Spline  Spool. Gearworks housings are already pre-machined, drilled and tapped for ARB air lockers, should you need to change from a spool at a later date. To guard against deflection, spanner nut ejection and subsequent gear failure the main bearing caps and spanner nuts are made from chromoly steel as opposed to aluminium. Held Tight by massive 9/16″ ARP studs and hardware. The case is CNC machined to clear a ring gear with a true outer diameter of 9.500”. Unseen are two set screws at the 3 and 9 O’clock position usable to jack the case assembly out of the axle housing should it be stuck, and four of the five 7/16″ pinion support bolt holes are drilled and tapped blind to avoid sealing issues when a pinion support mounted skid plate is used. The tail bearing uses a .812″ tall bearing adding capacity over others housings and is retained by a bolt in retainer plate.  They include a hard anodised 2024 billet Pinion Support with large Timken bearings, a double lip pinion seal with a dust exclusion lip and a billet 1350 yoke with a seal guard welded on.
