B43A - 36 Spline boss suits Defender from 1984 to 1989, All county station wagons to 2002 and all Defenders from 2002 to 2008 - Please count your splines to be sure

B45 - 48 Spline, with 9.6mm taper depth - suits all utility Defenders from 1990 to 2002 - Please count your splines and check your taper depth to be sure.

B45LRD - 48 splines as per the B45 (above), but with a deeper 14mm taper. Suitable for the Land Rover Defender 2009 to the end of 2014. (Some 2008 Defenders may have a need for this deep taper boss)

B45LRD2015 - Suitable for the Defender with the very late 48 spline steering column, fitted to the 2015 onwards vehicles (without airbag, not suitable for any 2020 onwards models)
